Kick off HellmouthCon weekend with an evening of karaoke, trivia, fandom chaos, and pre-convention mingling before the Hellmouth officially opens.

Hosted by actor/cosplayer and resident green-skinned empath Ray Bender, this all-ages event brings fans together for a night inspired by Angel’s legendary karaoke club, Caritas, where the drinks flowed, destinies were revealed, and Lorne absolutely judged your song choices.

Whether you arrive in full Slayer chic, black-tie Wolfram & Hart elegance, pajamas worthy of the Hyperion lobby, or full cosplay, this is your chance to meet fellow attendees before convention weekend officially begins.

Fandom meetups

A relaxed social atmosphere for fans to connect before HellmouthCon begins

Snacks, soda, beer, Buffyverse inspired cocktails and sangrias will be available for purchase.

Location Information

This year we had to move locations because the sports bar will be heavily focused on FIFA screenings that weekend, and we knew we’d likely get drowned out by giant TVs and soccer fans screaming at referees. Which, to be fair, is its own kind of Hellmouth energy.

The Friday Night Mixer will take place at:

Bluestem Meeting Room

Please note:

The mixer takes place at the Bluestem Meeting Room next to the Blue Stem Hotel, not inside the hotel itself.

Attendees should park in the shopping center parking lot and proceed to Suite G, where official event parking passes will be distributed at the door.

Admission & Capacity Information

This event takes place at a private off-site venue with a strict fire-code capacity limit.

Mixer admission begins at 6:30 PM.

Attendees arriving before 8:00 PM with pre-purchased mixer admission will receive guaranteed priority entry.

After 8:00 PM, admission and re-entry will be based on available venue capacity as guests leave throughout the evening. If the venue reaches capacity, a managed waitlist line will be used outside the event space.

Guests who purchased mixer admission will always receive priority over standby or walk-up admissions, but immediate re-entry cannot be guaranteed once the venue reaches full capacity.

To help everyone fully enjoy the evening and reduce wait times, we strongly encourage attendees to arrive early and remain onsite during peak hours.

Ticket Information

This year’s Friday Night Mixer will take place in a private event space reserved exclusively for our group, creating a more immersive and fan-focused experience than in previous years. Because the venue is private, we must carefully follow strict capacity and fire code limits.

As a result, presale tickets were capped.

However, a limited number of additional tickets, currently expected to be at least 20, will be available at the door for $25 each while capacity allows.

This is an all-ages event
Wristbands must be worn at all times during the mixer
Re-entry after 8:00 PM may require waiting in line depending on venue capacity
Venue rules and safety requirements will be strictly enforced
Please drink responsibly and respect fellow attendees, performers, and staff
