Presenter Expectations FAQ
HellmouthCon programming is designed to create an engaging, respectful, and well-run experience for attendees and presenters alike. If your panel is selected, we ask that you approach your session with preparation, professionalism, and consideration for the audience.
Be prepared
Plan your session in advance. Panels should have a clear structure, defined talking points, and a general sense of timing. If using slides, media, or activities, test everything ahead of time.
Start and end on time
Programming runs on a coordinated schedule. Sessions must begin and conclude at their assigned times so attendees and presenters can move smoothly between panels.
Engage the audience
Panels should invite participation, discussion, or learning. Whether your format is lecture, conversation, or interactive activity, aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Respect fellow participants
Panelists and audience members may have different perspectives and interpretations. Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks, dismissive behavior, or disruptive conduct are not.
Follow event policies
All sessions must comply with HellmouthCon conduct and content guidelines. Presenters are responsible for maintaining a respectful, appropriate atmosphere throughout the session.
Coordinate with Programming Staff
Arrive early, check in with your room moderator if assigned, and communicate any needs or concerns before your session begins.
